OLYMPIA — Open enrollment for 2027 health and dental coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder, the state’s Affordable Care Act marketplace, began Nov. 1 and runs through Jan. 15.

The marketplace is for Washingtonians who don’t get insurance through an employer, a spouse or a government program, including self-employed people, gig workers, seasonal workers, some small-business employees and people who don’t yet qualify for Medicare, the Washington Health Benefit Exchange said.

New this year, people have until Dec. 31 to apply for coverage that starts Jan. 1. Those who apply by the Jan. 15 close of open enrollment will have coverage that starts Feb. 1.

“We’ve made it as easy as possible to help customers find a healthcare plan that’s right for them,” said Heather Moss, the exchange’s interim CEO.

Plans and local enrollment help are at wahealthplanfinder.org. The customer support center, 1-855-923-4633, is open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
